My name is Maryam and I’m a licensed therapist. Celebrating people who are gifted and creative are passions of mine. Often times when people do not fit in the status quo, there is a need to process through limiting beliefs and experiences that keep you stuck or from embracing the fullness and complexities of you. I believe in this process as a sense of liberation from the systemic oppressions.
I use a unique blend of psychodynamic insight-oriented therapy with narrative storytelling to help you tune into your voice. I’m trauma-informed and culturally affirming. My additional offerings include poetry and writing, meditation, and somatic-based healing skills.
I offer in-person sessions in Costa Mesa, CA and virtual.
About me: I’m a Kurdish and Queer therapist with specialties in areas of complex trauma and PTSD, neurodivergent-affirming therapy, non-traditional relationships, immigration, grief, depression, OCD and anxiety, couple and family therapy, and with LBGTQIA+ communities.
