Happy May! It's Mental Health Awareness Month, and Ollie and I wanted to share about coping skills that served a purpose in the past yet can impede growth in the present. Awareness and learning new tools can help, and it's a long process involving healing, forgiveness, and growth. Baby steps.
Thoughts on Work & Self Care
Sometimes a job is just a job, and sometimes a job is something more. Many of us, including me, have become our jobs where we lose our sense of self, and burn out (teachers, officers, therapists, first responders, nurses, doctors, healers, parents...) I'm starting a new job and wanted to make a video to remind myself to do self care, and do things for me so I can continue doing the best I can.
What kinda of self care do you do, and how have you managed personal and professional things?

Thoughts on Kindness

Kindness is never wasted.

On Becoming a Person (Book Rec.)
Hi fellow Messes! I was reading a section of On Becoming a Person and really wanted to share some thoughts on this wonderful book. What are some books that have helped shape your individual processes of becoming a person?
Also, I understand that therapy is not for everyone, and I did use some hyperbole with saying it "changes everything". Please forgive my excitement with my process towards becoming.
Thank you for watching. Please take care! -Boonie

Ever get pulled into someone's drama? Do you ever pull others into your relationship problems? Triangling occurs pretty naturally to alleviate discomfort, yet conflicts continue to persist. Relationship experts may be able to help introduce new communication and conflict resolution skills.
